Herzliche Grüsse Atall

Admin reply: Danke dir! Aber deine tolle Homepage ist mir natürlich auch ein Begriff und hat mich definitiv inspiriert :-) (leider komm ich hier kaum noch zum updaten, neue Sachen landen zur Zeit nur auf FB...)

I love the images you've used to accompany your Housebook dress, and have found myself agreeing with many of your techniques. I was wondering if you'd seen the image of a pair of Lovers by the Master bxg? I found the image on the website Eme's Compenduim and it is a view of a man and woman from the waist up. On her sleeve you can clearly see the small gore in front, exactly like the one in your sleeve.

Admin reply: I know the picture, but I have never looked at it that way... I've based the small front gore on the Moy gown and the pourpoint of Charles de Blois. But I think you might be right with the Master Bxg painting. Thanks for bringing this to my attention :-)

Hi Bettina,
Applaus, Applaus!
Es geht weiter hier ... ich freu mich schon!
Die netten Fotos dieses Jahres kannte ich ja schon, aber sie sind dennoch schön anzusehen :-)

Liebe Grüße
Sanne

Admin reply: Danke Sanne :-)

Bettina

I am making the same dress as your "stehfaltenkleid", and I'd like to include your website on my blog as my resource. May I do this?
Thank you,
Rachel Case

Admin reply: of course you may :-)

Love your site and all the Information. I'm new to the SCA and am working on another Durer Dress; the Italian style. Thank you, and would love to see more pictures of your clothing in action, proper care and best places to find fabric/notions.

I'm impressed with your Dürer dress :] Now I am making my own and I'm wondering where to buy this gilded endpiece for the collar ? I don't think I could buy it in Poland, but maybe in other country in Europe ?

Marta

Admin reply: I made mine myself as I couldn't find any... I'm sorry but I don't know of a shop that would sell these. But making them is not soo hard ;-)

Bettina--
You are an inspiration! I love that you show your progress on your garb--it is nice to see your process. I would like to make the Stehfaltenkleid as well. My persona in the SCA (have you heard of the Society for Creative Anachronism?) is from late 15th century Nuremberg. Your clear pictures and documentation will be very helpful in making my own Stehfaltenkleid.
Thanks so much, and keep up the wonderful work!

(mundanely known as Rachel)
p.s. my husband and I are insanely jealous that you are reenacting in Germany! It is our dream to go there and meet other history geeks!

Admin reply: Thank you for the compliments and good luck with your Stehfaltenkleid! I'd love to see some pictures ;-)

I guess Germany is not a bad place for reenactment, especially if your interested in late 15th century as the 1470-90s are very popular around here. And there's international events with participants from all over Europe - guess Americans would be welcome too ;-)
